1. Railroads- Elkins Act, 1903:
With this Act Congress started tp pass effective railroad legislation. Heavy fines could now be imposed both on the railroads that gave rebates and on the shippers that accepted them.
Hepbrun Act 1906:
This Act was more effective. Free passes were severlz restricted. The Interstate Commerce Commission was expanded and its reach was extended to include expres companies, sleepin-car companiesand pipelines. For the first time the comission could nullifz existing rates and stipulate maimum rates.
